Slits and Prints

Wearing: Dress&Hat- Urban Outfitters; Boots- Free People

Week two in Italy, and I am so thankful about missing the worse of winter back in the states. When I saw this sheer shirt dress at Urban Outfitter I immediately saw myself on the streets of Italy. The high slits on the side allow me to wear it as a dress, but also pair it with a pair of ripped jeans and booties for an alternate outfit. We all know how much I love hats, and being able to wear one with 90% of my outfits here even in the "winter", makes me the happiest girl.
I am traveling to Florence for the weekend and will be posting as much as possible to keep you guys updated on my trip. I hope you all are having a great week and be sure to follow me on Instagram @deleasakathleen!

Winter Whites

winter in white

I arrived to Italy about a week ago, and with the whirl wind of adjusting to a new country and scheduling classes I decided to do a quick Polyvore post. Although it's been feeling like, what Jersey would consider a beautiful spring day, being in Italy I have to remember they dress for the season not the weather. Spring fashion is now in full bloom in the stores and my sudden obsession with pastels and neutrals may be a problem.
Dark colors are always a go to for me but this season I plan on broadening my color palette. Since it's still winter I put together a simple yet sophisticated black and white outfit. Jackets have been huge for me this season and will definitely carry on to the next. This MANGO white with black trim jacket would be perfect for winter's transition into spring.

As I begin to settle into my new life here in Italy for the next three months, I'm excited to show you all my journey. Check weekly for updates!

All About the Slit

Wearing: Free People

I purchased this basic Keep Me Tee dress from Free People and wanted to figure out a way to wear it during the winter months. I found that the slit makes a nice exception for stockings, especially paired with knee-high boots.  With my sojourn to Italy rapidly approaching, I will definitely be packing this dress, as it's perfect to bring along to help the transition into Spring.

Next post: Milan. I can't wait to share my adventures with all of you!

Inner Rockstar

Wearing: Leather Pants- BLANKNYC; Jacket- Oasis Boutique; Shirt- Zara; Booties&Hat- UrbanOutfitters

This winter I've really been into faux fur and leather. Channeling my inner 70's rockstar, I found this eccentric jacket from Oasis Boutique and I knew I had to buy it. It's not a heavy jacket, but it gives you a little bit of warmth to make it through a cold winter. You can dress a jacket like this one down by throwing on a graphic tee and booties. Speaking of booties, I just purchased a new black pair from Sam Edelman's Circus collection, of which I recently became obsessed.

Hope you all have a good week and you East Coasters stay safe and warm through the snowy days to come.
